Sunny High 53
Mr. Saxton “Pappy” stopped in to say that his wife had a triple bypass at University Hosp a wek ago & just coming out of it. Sounds serious.
Started sorting fliers. Worked about 2 hrs in the sun – really hot.
Took Dave shopping for jeans, jeans jacket, briefs (why fancy ones?). Then he wanted to go to movie while I went to Calligraphy Class. But he was not at Olan Mills at 9:15 when I went to pick him up. Called me at 10:20 “(where the hell are you?”) Had to go in & get him. Gave him silent treatment.

Picked up around house as David brought the family with him to Hemmerly’s. I picked them up around noon, grocery shopped, got McDonald hamburgers & brought home for lunch. Showed kids my calligraphy. Cooked pot roast – broccoli – Waldorf Salad – cherry pie & brownies. David had found the “bug” in his payroll program so we toasted in red wine from a plane ride. Then he cleaned up some Cemetery glitches. They left about 8. Suzannah [sic] was so good all day – just look at her & she smiles.
