Burroughs Club picnic. Gorgeous day but only a few walked in woods. Even picked wildflowers I brought in but no one interested- some nature club. I wrote out my request for associate membership- too much time on Federation business and no nature.

David off to Columbus before I was up. Cleaned up some before Laurel Leffler arrived at 11:00 instead of 12:00 when rest of committee came. Nice day and I ate on Deck with Donna Day and Marguerite Martin. Sun almost too warm. All gone by 3:30. Worked on Cemetery records.

To Columbus in David’s car for a tiring day at the booth. Had a customer at the computer all the time. People began saying others had sent them to see it. Couple of good leads but no sales. Closed at 5:00 and home.

To Columbus about 2:30 to help David with TerraForms booth at Ohio funeral directors convention. Took two pedestals and two arrangements of glads and palms and five bunches of yellow poms to use for boutonnieres- good way to nab those who would have passed us by.
David home with me and cleared up some cemetery disks.
Royce to clean but when I’m gone doesn’t seem to do much. Missed MCHS board meeting.

Blackburnian warblers
Let Dave take car to Jerry Wade’s about 4:30 while Midlams and Maxine Marshall were here for Cemetery book conference. About 9:30 Dave came in saying Sheriff had picked him up for speeding and was waiting to talk to me. He didn’t cite him but said he was driving 90 mph with a passenger. Dave said he wanted to see how fast the car would go.
Virginia Howard out and hung Venetian blinds in bathroom and kitchen. I got mower stuck in mud but Howard got it out. Nell Bryant and sister-in-law out to see garden. Toured it with Midlams and Maxine before conferring on Cemetery book. They dated Grandview Cemetery date at 1870 confirms was wedding gift.

Mother’s Day
Todd Jolliff out and we birded at Terradise- Wood Peewee, Magnolia Warblers, Redstart, Catbird, yellow warblers, hummingbird, Flicker and rose-breasted grosbeak nesting in Crabapple over driveway. Went to woods near Caledonia Cemetery that Coopers bought. No wildflowers except violets but a burn ruins. Started drizzle just at 12:00 but 45 brave souls out to tour garden. Several from Bucyrus from notice I sent up there. Mary & Ken brought chicken out for supper. I made slaw and fruit salad. Tired!

Routed 343 deliveries. All went smoothly and sold out on plants. Dave took me to Islay’s for dinner for mother’s day. David called about 4:00 and ordered arrangements for his booth at funeral directors convention in Columbus next week. Also flowers for me. He sent a card and so did Kathi. Kathi sent check for $15 two weeks ago for whatever I want. will use it to buy flats of plants.
