Let Dave take car to Mount Gilead to visit industrial Tech department, Bob Whitman’s little treat for him.

Still having trouble with my computer. We worked bed by greenhouse, set out day lilies and August lilies (Hosta). planted marigold seed Howard saved at front of bed and realigned top stones. Set out orange impatiens in bed by front porch and planted Iron Kettle on patio with pink geraniums and begonias and white alyssum. Called Helen Kaufman about counter store and suggested an Eber Baker bean cook-off. Called Kathi- not able to come to 50th anniversary celebration. Friday Dave hauled compost to fill in bed level with terrace.

David had conference with Don Wells salesman and Don Good (backer for TerraForms.) Since David went back to Cincinnati last night after North Canton visit with TerraForms customer he was not here for meeting with Ed Koski at shop. Kass, Ed and I tossed around ideas. Will use pencil with glad imprint. Kass idea for a festival in parking lot sounds good.

To courthouse and John Foster and I to lunch at Turroff’s to bring him up to date on Lesher Printing. Then with John Cottrell to Rosa’s for pie and got material for Engineer’s Office for book. Sky so overcast that eclipse was not noticeable but Dave saw a little of it.

Miserable cold wet day. Not up to 50 all day. Worked on Cemetery records, editing but computer acting up or maybe disc is worn out. Set out white impatiens and pink begonias in bed along brick walk and worked with Dave on secret path to River just beyond Magnolia tree.

Took two townships to Belvia Holloway on route 100 to proof.

In to center by 12:00 and Whitman’s already there unloading books. Madge and Catherine Loudounslager brought cookies and punch. Had a constant stream of autograph seekers and sold 30 more books, but I expected more people. Mary sold Eber Baker beans and we used a new room for serving. Ended with toasts using Asti Spumante Terry Zacharias gave me for Christmas. Bob presented me with a framed poster of Thorpe and team that is the cover. Have enough money for second 1/3 payment of $2,400
