Dave woke me at 7:00 saying he had to have three copies of his space history report for his science project. So I printed them out and took to him when we went in at 9:00 to talk to Mr. Harvey about Dave’s College plans. 1 1/2 hour conference- very helpful. Dave there too, but uptight about science fair. Took his display to Coliseum PM. Kathi and I in to Mary’s and I went to shop to help Kass with black book- entering its data on the computer. To Fanny and Floy’s about 2:00 taking Mary Hecker along. Had a nice visit and nice lunch by Fanny. Floy took us to workshop to see his mailbox with a flag that goes down exposing a red spot when mail is put in box. I spotted a gorgeous black chest and Fanny said she would give it to me.* It was Samuel and Susanna Zimmerman Baker’s and is full of comforts. Also will give me Horatio Alger books. Back to Marion and stopped at science fair. Dave not there but he came home about 10:00 with a superior ribbon certificate and medal!

*I gave it to David and Karen- no room at Terradise.

To Columbus for OAHSM board meeting- did final draft of awards letter, rules and application. Home about 4:00 and in to Bill and Erma Hutchman’s at 5:00 for dinner. Kathi and Dave came in. Had been to Sims junkyards hunting license plates for Bob- found Colorado and a gas tank cap for the wagon.

Delicious dinner. Saw Greenhouse- talked genealogy. Home about 9:30.

Too excited to sleep last night until 4:30 a.m. up at 8:30. Breakfast with Kathi and David and then all of us to shop. David working with Norma on accounts payable program. Kathi and I took salad to Mary’s for lunch. Then to Historical Center to meet Norm Fogt to put labels on newsletter. He mailed them. Had Swiss steak for dinner and Dave off to Carousel at 6:00. Mary and Ken picked up Helen Romine and met us at the school. Kathi so thrilled with Dave’s performance that we called Shorty* during intermission to see if she would like to come over for Saturday night.

All came out here and we had a cast party for Dave. He juggled, taking a bite out of the apple as he juggled and sang “June is Busting Out All Over.”

Worked on newsletter all morning at shop and took to Big Red at noon. Also conferred with Ron on Cemetery Inscriptions book. Spent afternoon perfecting the printout for the book on the shop’s printer.

Dave to Ponderosa for dinner with the cast. Pretty rowdy I guess.

I decided to go to opening night- got seat in third row left side aisle Dave didn’t know I was there until the very end. To see him juggling, singing, dancing, smiling was worth all the bad moments I’ve had in the past two and a half years. I was so proud there must have been a glow around me.

Came home and baked box peanut butter cookies for a snack when David and Kathi came in at midnight. She left Reno around 4:00 and arrived in Columbus at 10:15. David came from Cincinnati and picked her up. So great to have them both here. bed at 2:00 a.m.
