Howard cleaned the house while I went to shop to print out yesterday’s work on letter quality printer. Mary Lesher wants to use it that way and not type set. Film still not in at Meijer’s. got buns and home at 3:00 made sloppy joes, dip, and fruit salad. Heckers brought Helen Romine. Hutchmans, Jordans and Cottrell’s ate in kitchen and then visited on patio. John and Bill moved Dave’s canoe under deck. Left at 9:00 and I went to bed.

Into courthouse at 8:30. Quite a crowd about 100 gathered for dedication of the courthouse marker 100 years to the day that the Cornerstone was laid. Marion concert band added lots and glad I had programs to distribute. Had stopped at shop and made 40 copies. Then to Center to get my fruit salad ready for picnic at John Green Cemetery. Cottrell’s picked Clara and Anna Gillen & me up. Nice affair- Judge Meyers read Declaration of independence. Home about 3:00 and relaxed until evening and then worked on book.

To courthouse to take pictures but camera I loaned not working right. Took it to Cliff Mitchell to unload and develop and print. Richard Carey had finished roll- it wound back automatically and then tried to take more pics! Took roll from Nikormat to Meijers for developing. (That it was color too late to use found it was also black and white and some great shots.)
