Woke to pounding of hammer and by 3:30 floor was laid and railings up on deck under beech! Real progress. But they had to pour new footing for pergola. Even after I told Ray it was crooked they poured one 4 ft. from house instead of 5!

Mary and Ken out at 2:30 to “supervise”- left at 3:30 for Columbus. To Chick’s Camera Shop and I bought a Nikon FA- all over metering gives good pictures in dappled shade but I will have to have my lenses modified $20 each. Also got a Vivitar dedicated flash. total $450.

Supper at MCL Cafeteria near Eastland then back Broad Street to Franklin Conservatory but it closed at 4:00. Stopped at Whitehall Library and copied Hemmerly’s from directories. To airport at 9:00- 10:05 plane with Dave didn’t arrive until 11:30. Stopped at halfway house for a snack and home at 2:00 a.m.

David and Karen have sold Vielhauer Pork Products stall number 8 at Findlay Market- deal closes August 5th got $20,300- had paid $10,000 for it in 1972. Also after August 10th he won’t be playing at the Ramada Inn on Friday and Saturday- that paid $400 a month.

So it looks like Terradise Computer Systems will have to support the Haldemans!
