Dave’s birthday- 17!
Up at 6:30 with Dave. Gave him a book on canoeing. Spent morning getting dinner- ham loaf, fried rice, green beans, cornbread, Jello apple salad. In to Center and Norm okayed fund letters. Took them to Big Red Quick Print. To courthouse to judge ornaments from all departments. Sheriff won with star. Home at 3:00. Dave called for Mary to pick him up at school at 4:30 as he was called back for another audition for Carousel. Scott Foster and Heckers here for supper. Then kids bowling, movie and pizza.

Wrapped Christmas presents before going in at 11:30. Withdrew $12,000 from my money market fund at Home Federal for Terradise Computer Systems to buy Honda Accord. David will repay $4,000 of it from company funds. Had ride in new car to pick up Mary and Ken for lunch at Isaly’s. Took Puzzlerama money to John Cottrell from Hemmerly’s and Hall-Beck. David with me to Marion piano company- bought Dave a Martin Sigma guitar for $150. Grocery shopped. Fried rice for supper. Called David to tell him Bob Stout will Incorporate for $250 not $600 his Cincinnati lawyer wants.

Howard Koehler from Inskeep called with Buick Skylark four-door for $8,500 but when I called David he said he had told Karen I let him make a decision for himself for once and wasn’t interested in saving $4,000.

Mailed Kathy’s box at post office. Dave in for guitar lesson. Learning to read music but complaining about his guitar. Wrote Kathi and sent her $500 for ticket for next October. That will make it 2 years since I’ve seen her. Guess both my kids have really flown the nest.

David called- found the car he wants- Honda Accord four-door 5 speed $12,500 with tax. Kennedy Ford had it $1,500 cheaper! Told him I would put $8,000 into Terradise Computer Systems for it.
Wrapped Kathi, Bob and Kris’s presents.
Mary and Ken out to use exercise bike.
Dave to Industrial Tech while I went to Altrusa Christmas dinner “Rainbow Express” kids chorus sang.
