To Women’s Club home for lunch and program “The Way We Wore”- a takeoff on Madge Guthery’s “The Way We Were” radio program every Saturday on Old Marion. Had vintage clothing along the walls including my 1932-33 prom dress. Charles Kleebarger, New York designer in residence at OSU brought designer originals from 30s, 40s and 50s worn by movie stars and club members modeled clothes from 1880 on.

Shopped at Elder-Beerman for Hanes hose on sale. Got two sweaters for me and two for gifts, one Karen, one Mary. Met Dave for supper at Rax. He went to a pizza party birthday surprise.

Rice’s installed new furnace at 229 East Fairground Street. $2,152- also need roof repairs of $60. With December rent will have just enough to cover it.

Kass Mattimore woke me with the news that she would be receiving a letter from Norma Ekleberry resigning effective November 22nd and asking for her weeks vacation pay that she was eligible for by that date. Rumor she is going to work in Westerville but when I went in about 3:00 she declined to say where she was going and Kass had only received her letter at 2:00!
