Coolest day since May 4th- high 66°

Three calls saying they like new format for newsletter.
Wrote to Kristi and Dave but may not send them. I talked too much about my feelings. But it hurts me that Dave always sends his regards to Bob when he writes to Kathi but he never said even hi to me or Mary. Call from Jim Owens. Nationwide is canceling the insurance on Dave’s car because they know nothing about Kathleen Tober. I know Kathleen won’t have the money to buy any.
Called David to see when he is coming up this week but too busy working on the addition to his house. I shudder to think of his financial condition.
Carroll Neidhart called with questions about Elizabeth Hemmerle Huber connection to my Hemmerly.

Wrote news releases to publicize tour to Philadelphia. Beginning to despair of getting enough to go. Mary at sale of Emily Barnharts effects. Bought a plate, microwave stand and clothes hamper, small paper cutter- $30. Things sold for less than half of retail value. To Ponderosa for dinner with Mary. she is going to Judson Hills tomorrow for a retreat until Thursday p.m.
Got my car license transferred. Stopped at OSUM to see if Ted Myers would put up the 12 Northwest Ordinance & U.S. Constitution posters for a while. Glad to. Asked about botany courses and looked at plans for shelter house at OSU prairie*.

Cleaned grass out of bed by front drive, rueing that I had canceled the Hemmerly Reunion. Temperature was about 70 humidity 38% and no mosquitoes a perfect day for being outdoors.

Cut 200 ribbons and fishtailed them for Huber sesquicentennial Huber descendants (gold), committee (green), ushers (red) and for sale (cream).
Watered- the front didn’t bring much rain here as it went through.
