2 Carolina Wren’s entry by feeder
More snow 12” on table on deck! Tried out my new 70/210 autofocus zoom lens on birds and snow scenes. Called Owens Insurance to put Dave’s car on my policy again. Called Young’s Sohio to come out and get it started. Battery charged okay but it wouldn’t fire to start. Steve worked on it for an hour, but then had to haul it to garage.
Wrote Tommy Hemmerly accepting invitation for Wildflower Pilgrimage April 22nd 23rd 24th. Wrote up feasibility committee minutes. Bill Nolan called- can’t make regional meetings Saturday.

Robin on side porch snowstorm eating Bittersweet from dried arrangement snow
Woke up to snow so called Mary to cancel our trip to Columbus Flower Show. Snowed all day 7 in.
Doc Brown, mayor called me to tell me Miller Cannon of US Postal Service real estate office called him. New post office ready in July so need 10% down payment in June and rest in july. Called Charlie Evers, Jack Telfer and John Watkins. John suggested County buy and long-term lease to Historical Society.
Cleaned out desk drawer. Shoveled paths periodically so I can get to mailbox.

2 to 300 Red Wings across the road in soybeans.
Wrote minutes of Hall of Fame. Entered membership changes but I came can’t get dBaseIII to do all I wanted to do. In at 3:00 to copy summary of certification minutes for all participants. To True Room at Palace for feasibility study committee. Decided to ask County to buy post office rather than city. from Carroll’s plans listed changes we need estimates on plus air conditioning. Supper with Mary at Ike’s. Grocery shopped. Genealogy meeting- Pennsylvania early Germans.

Came in like a lamb- Sunny 45 degrees no wind full moon.
Howard gave me $1,000. I added $500 and sent $1,500 to David toward their kitchen and a Little Leaf Linden $350.
Entered updates on MCHS membership on computer. Wrote to Jackie Schuck and Kathi and compiled what the certificate committee certification committee did.
David Decker called from San Diego and says he will be in Sunday night at 11:50. Also listed his expenses and he will be broke when he leaves. Then Kathi called. I had called David H earlier so it was like a family reunion.

Monday, February 29, 1988
Six Canada geese on river.
Chuck Jacobs arrived at 9:30 and the Fetters from Mount Vernon soon after. Martha Jones, Pat Cummins, Elizabeth Reed, Kris R. Smith and Tom Kuhn. Worked until 12:00 on certification advantages, implementation education etc. Geneva Brewer cooked chili, apple salad and butterscotch pie and Mary helped her serve. Paid her $30. Meeting continued until 2:45. As Kris was leaving she told me she was resigning as of March 31st! Too much commuting to Akron.
Rested until 6:00 then to Center for Hall of Fame committee. Scantland could help host banquet- tag on to his Distinguished Citizen Award.
