Opened lowest drawer in dresser in my room where I stored Howard’s records after he died – Found information needed for the article & wrote about him – So when Dave Claborn called wanting info on Howard (and me) I e-mailed it to him – He questioned me about 15 minutes on my life & I sent him the “achievements” I had compiled for Jan Augenstein.
Jed had said he & Rachel & Miette would be here “afternoon Wednesday” – Cooked pork chops, made salad, set table, etc. No Jed by 5:00 so I called his cell phone – he will be here at 6:30 – So here I sit at 6:00 – hungry – & “put out.”
Sent Happy Birthday cards to Kensel Clutter & Marguerite Fogle – both 90 years old.
Jed, Rachel & Miette arrived about 6:30 – Jed had crisis – had to fix computer before driving to Republic to pick up Rachel & Miette – Said it was a “good supper” (like Mary always said after she ate here). J, R & M took gifts from table –
Jed – George Sifritt’s fancy belt – Miette doll & globe. Miette helped me count angels & pack away – Jed undecorated tree & packed ornaments & took tree to utility room to store – they left about 10:00.
