Memorable Day – Finally got back to Yosemite – from the deer near Avalanche Lodge – the first view of Half Dome * the valley – the lack of traffic in the valley (to Bob’s chagrin) the flowers & domes at Olmstead Point – Tanaya Lake & Tioga Pass. Spent all day going the 60 miles. Mono Lake still going down – back in Reno about 7:00.

7:15 Woke up at Best Western Gateway to Yosemite Motel

8:00 Bfst near by – 1 egg & toast for me – coffee

9:00 Lvg – N via Rt 41

9:40 S. Entrance Yosemite Natl Park $5 fee
VIews of El Capitan & Half Dome
Into Valley along Merced River – Rt. 120 to Tioga Rd. SIesta Lake – Visit White WOlf – Overnight here in 1949
Wildflower & visitor stops – mule deer, golden marmot

1:30 Lunch along Mt. steam
Olmstead vista – Domes – penstemmon, Ind. Paint Brusgh
Snack after lvg Park – pie and soup.
Sedum, cinquefoil.
Mt. Tioga & Mono Craters views.
Road down curvy but Kathi photo with camcorder.
Bob collecting rocks.!

5:30 Rt. 385N to Reno – Mono Lake – Topaz Lake near home – on to Costco – Pick up film – Airport for Bob paycheck.

8:30 Home – sunset

8:45 Call from Dave – Dee went to Lee’s house & called cops to ask Dave to leave when he went to get her.

9:00 To Bev and Don’s to see house – lovely

12:00 To sleep.
