4/10 in rain
June 17th sales of Cockshutt model over $10,000 during Steam and Gas Engine Show.
To Fairgrounds at 11:00 to take my stint at the EHMA table until 4:00. Harry Bird in charge of selling Huber things but he had a wedding. Worked with John Heimlich (not a member), Norm Vogt and Ray Bails. We were next to huge Cockshutt 580 that was prototype for our 1/16th scale model.
Mike Deitsch in charge of those sales. Don E. Yoder and four of his kids enlivened the atmosphere in their Amish dress. Coloring Book Sales not as good as I expected. probably should have had 200 printed instead of 1,000!
David called to wish me Happy Father’s Day. He will be up June 25th to mow and check on Howard.
Looked over Dave Sheely’s figures on taking payoff from Fields on Normandy property. Would cost me $12,000 in Income Tax Plus the $8,000 I’m already paying. So I don’t want it paid off.
