Virgil Hinamon came by in his station wagon and I went with him to Marion Landes farm east of Caledonia Cemetery to pick up a tool chest that was built and used by William Lehman, Mrs Landes father who made the patterns for the first Marion steam shovel. Also gave me copies of Shovel Newsletter 1924, 1948 and 1960. Had Virgil take chest to Huber Museum.
In to Dr. Lowe at 1:45 saw me at 2:45! Thinks my knee pain caused by degenerative arthritis. Prescribed up to 12 aspirin a day or the prescription he gave me. Then to hospital for another hour getting three x-rays.
Shopped at Elder-Beerman and got brown slacks and rose cowl neck. $45. Back home for supper of lima beans and ham. Mary stopped by and left straight razors and Huber tags- part for MCHS and Huber.
To OHSM [OSUM?] at 7:15 for program meeting- Judge Charlton Myers on Visual Remnants of Marion History with 34 slides. Well received. About 100 there.
