Left hotel at 8:30 after breakfast in “kitchenaria”. Walked to National Archives 10 minutes. Researched Hurlbut and Weaver revolutionary war records- no pensions. And passenger list indexes no luck. To National Gallery of Art for lunch and ate by the Cascade of water. Audubon’s elephant folio prints on display- colors gorgeous- my prints are so faded compared to these. Back to Old Post Office for supper had a chimichanga. Feet hurt- wore shoes not made for walking. Tour of National Archives 50th anniversary displays saw Richard Byrd’s Diaries.
