Temperature 78 but sitting in Sun for 1 and 1/2 hours seemed hot.
In to Hemmerly’s at 9:30 with blue Queen Anne’s Lace floor basket and went with Virgil to deliver it at courthouse in front of podium. No envelopes from Cincinnati for books so got manila envelopes from John Foster and bagged 50 books. Sold most of them. To Center and got things ready for open house. Walked to courthouse too late for interview with Columbus Dispatch. Sat on platform with County officials and flanked by Judge Edward Ruzzo and Dave Brown. Presented Ruzzo copy of book and Dave Brown presented Judge Myers copy 5. About 500 there. Honored 100-year-olds. Vet’s born before 1900. 100 Year Farm owners. Courthouse cake 4-ft High.
Center had about 50 visitors. Watched Olympics opening in LA our show couldn’t compete! Fantastic 800-piece band drill. 84 grand pianos playing Rhapsody In Blue. Chorus, Symphony orchestra.
