I laughed into your sea-green eyes;
You smiled into my blue ones.
We thought the things each other said
Were brightly spangled new ones.

We tried to dance the night away,
And came down for a landing
When our first kiss reduced us to
A perfect understanding.

I am aware, without a shove,
This, new to us, is old as Love!
