There are numbers on my blocks
Much like those upon our clocks;
Numbers in my picture books;
Some, mother uses when she cooks
Which she often has to change,
High up on her cooking range;
Numbers on maps and ships and planes,
On license plates, on railroad trains;
Numbers here and numbers there–
Numbers almost everywhere–
And you’ll like numbers also when
You, like me, can count to ten!
