This Is Absolutely Straight, Jacket

Some psychologists advise
Safety valves that cannot fail,
Such as writing letters which
You tear up, and never mail.

As for me, I’m certain sure,
Writing letters is no cure.
Worst complex-causer I have met
Is getting answered mail I GET!

Unanswered correspondency.

Sluggard, What Of Thy Aunt?

Aunts are the sisters of fathers and mothers;
They frovm on the kids of their sisters and brothers.
While some are quite nice, some are hard-bitten too,
With all of them needing to be written to.

I’ll Say It Orally

To especially my betters–
To those far more learned than I.
To talk has no terrors
For one full of errors,
But to put it in writing, OH MY!

Consolation

Answers to your letters
Don’t disturb the continuum
Of your life by more than half as much
As the guy’s who’s owing you ’em!
