Thursday November 30th 1978 Can talk a little.
My day off, but knew I had to go in as today was deadline for material for history. Clara and Tom hard at work when I got there and it was a constant stream of people and phone calls all day. Interviewed by phone by WDIF and unofficially extended deadline to December 15th. This in the middle of a wedding sale.
At 6 I asked Laura if she wanted to go to Fred Waring and the Young Pennsylvanians with me. She was delighted. Ate at pancake house and then to Palace. Fred is 78 and chorus averages 21. Great!

They have the money tied up okay in the Marion County Historical Association. But a letter from a Milwaukee Law Firm advises them to give it to a local History Society! Many people in about history. So hard when I had to whisper. Went to doctor Lenzo for penicillin and drainage pills. Howard Mitchell over with old journals and pictures. To bed with Kass’s vaporizer running.

Stopped at shop to show Howard the new counter and Cheryl’s sleigh. Started typing final draft of all family histories at 4:00 and finished at 8:30 so it didn’t go go to Cheryl’s for dinner a surprise invitation.

Everything very smooth. Sold the 75 stuffed turkeys. Some funeral work. Went to Bauldaufs about noon to okay new counters. Didn’t realize they hadn’t used paneling until they delivered them about 4 p.m. 3 of Bauldaufs men helped move refrigerator to accommodate cash register counter. Dave and Barry stained it and Barry back later to varnish. To supper at Turroff’s with gang. Mary Jordan had package of cookies for each of us. All shocked by “Peoples Temple” murder-suicide of 900.
