Bill Lehmers with Indiana Glass silks and Christmas. No back from vacation but didn’t have time to talk with her.
Richard Carey called- perturbed that he didn’t know Carroll was going to ask Commissioners for grant for the society. I reminded him the board had given him permission last year. Also since Richard did not have any Township chairman lined up I told him I’d take the full chairmanship of the publication of the new Marion County history.

Talked to Mr. Schlabach and he said a Tom Sheneman still lived in the area. Had lunch at Der Dutchman in Walnut Creek. Family style chicken and beef. Rained on way home- here about 4:30. Home all day. Trimmed with push mower.
Called David and discussed his financial picture. He’s undecided about plans for reopening Snoot ‘n Hoof Pizza. Is making money at market and was losing it at the pizza. So why be open?

In at and Everything went like clockwork for 6 weddings. Tonya and Mike set them up (except one in yard W. of Green Camp which I did) and I serviced 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 weddings. But I was exhausted and slept for an hour in my office while designers did funeral work.
Couldn’t sleep when I went to bed so wrote our “Family History” for the new Marion County history and the Bulletin for Historical Society.

Voted primary ballot. Went to Cecil Rutherford funeral with Lil and Gerrie. Kass’ son Tom broke hand and she had to take him to get it set so didn’t go.
Took mother to Richwood with me when I delivered funeral work. Went to Ruby’s to see Aunt Lillie. She had a cornea transplant on May 16th- she is 94 years old! She is very frail and doesn’t hear much. Mother bought me a sandwich and root beer float. Stopped at Race Motors to check why air conditioner doesn’t work. Organizational meeting at shop for new Marion County History and no one to be chairman so I volunteered. Signed contract work with Taylor Publishing.

Kathi and family off for Fargo about 8. She called Wrights Transfer and made arrangements to release her stored furniture.
Made several calls about meeting tomorrow night on new Marion County history. Took delivery to Southland Mall and shopped at Penney’s for blue slacks and blouse. Missed three salesman but Walter Kannmyer of Randall came back and was at shop until 7. Supper of leftovers from last night. Howard seemed to appreciate his electric sprayer.
