Picked mother up about 1 and brought her out here for David and Karen’s visit. They arrived with kids by 2:00. Sarah putting two or three words together very plain. Josh still sleeps a lot but holds head up well and focuses his eyes very studiously on objects.
All of us went to see Reuben Smith’s Iris but they had a hail storm in the afternoon (we had a bare sprinkles) so they were beat up. Showed David and Karen my Philippine slides.

Got letters to board mailed along with six weddings- two will calls because we told them we could only do it that way and 3 at 2:30 and Connie’s at 7:30. Connie in to finish up reception flowers. I set up for churches with help of Tonya and Nancy.
Connie’s wedding beautiful. Had table set in the house dining room for reception at Club home. Rock band played and it was a revelation to see Rich dance. His stepdad came in his shirtsleeve!

Thought I’d get caught up on rest so I went to bed at 8. At 8:30 Richard Carey rang the bell. Wanted to go over Constitution to see how money should be handled. So I’m to send a letter to all board members quoting Constitution and bylaws and get their opinions. He left about midnight. And I got letter ready to duplicate.
Mary and Rocky into shop about noon ready to leave on their four-week trip to Washington, Oregon and points between.

Phyllis Melo called to invite me and six other Historical Society members to attend Republican Harding Day dinner at Tri Rivers. We all had fun but speaker sure didn’t know anything about Harding. I didn’t realize these meetings were a cross between a revival and a horse race!
