Wednesday January 4th 1933
“Strange Interlude” Was or wasn’t it good? When I got home a letter from B.J. -he was down Monday night- and a letter for Mary. I’m so tickled. A car was bombed in front of Bindleys and knocked out all the windows.

Tuesday January 3rd 1933
Tough to be so busy you have to make books out of magazine serials to read them. Comprendez-vous.. I went to Mary’s to go to show but didn’t. I stayed for supper and we went to K. Thomas for Guild meeting. Mary thinks she’s found the person in B.J. and she thinks she’s just another to him.

Monday January 2nd 1933
Writing this Wednesday after receiving a letter from B.J.* I wonder what I did do Monday. Read in bed for one thing and now I remember an auto coming and going. Too bad. But 10 o’clock is no time to come calling!

Sunday January 1st 1933
Bernard thinks with D. gone he’ll be nice to me. That’s what I thought when he spoke at Sunday school but at BY I found that D. hadn’t gone. Could Friday night have anything to do with it? (Will I have the nerve to keep this up this way.) I mean this diary Jesse gave me.
